It’s been a long time. I shouldn’t have left you… It’s been a crazy spring but with summer’s warmth I’m finding my footing again and getting back to creating.
Photographed my long time friend and colleague, designer Bonnie Chow this week as she modeled styles from her #100shirtsproject. These are a few favorites from our shoot. Learn more about Bonnie and her designs at Bonnizms.

“Art is what we call…the thing an artist does.
It’s not the medium or the oil or the price or whether it hangs on a wall or you eat it. What matters, what makes it art, is that the person who made it overcame the resistance, ignored the voice of doubt and made something worth making. Something risky. Something human.
Art is not in the …eye of the beholder. It’s in the soul of the artist.”

A few unedited shots I took with my smartphone during my grandmother’s 93rd birthday photo shoot on February 14. More coming soon.

“The only thing “free” about so-called free time is that it doesn’t cost the boss anything. Free time is mostly devoted to getting ready for work, going to work, returning from work, and recovering from work. Free time is a euphemism for the peculiar way labor, as a factor of production, not only transports itself at its own expense to and from the workplace, but assumes primary responsibility for its own maintenance and repair.”
